Cutting the Carbon:
Assess your energy use

In 2007 we launched Measuring our Footprint, the national Church Energy Audit. This was aimed at Church properties, such as places of worship and offices, and recorded energy use for 2005. If your church has not yet submitted its details, it is not too late. Contact your Diocesan Environment Officer to find out how.

For those who now want to do the same for their own homes, take a few minutes to complete the Energy Saving Trust’s Home Energy Check. This simple on-line questionnaire will give you a personalised report showing you how much energy and money you can save in your home, and details of your local Energy Advice Centre.
